Overview of Stand-Alone Mode
AceMapper was designed primarily as a “mapping” tool to translate independently maintained applications (in a persistent way) to ACES. With release 2.5, however, ACES applications can be “separated” from your source data to become “stand-alone” applications in their own right.
In order to support these stand-alone applications, AceMapper now allows importing ACES xml files and provides full editing capabilities. You can also “convert” existing mapped files to stand-alone documents. (This conversion cannot be reversed).
This technology makes it possible to import and validate ACES xml data, consolidate and remove unnecessary vehicle attributes, find missing coverage, maintain applications, and export Full or Update files in BaseVehicle, Make/Year or Legacy format with full brand support.
Note that Stand-Alone documents do not support EngineBlock mode at this time (must use EngineBase).
