Does a change in a “ref” column affect the import statistics?

Q: When you import a standard source file (not xml), do you ignore the “ref” column for your add/delete/no change statistics? I just re-imported a file that had re-sequenced the ref column, and it only showed a small percentage of changes. Just wanted to make sure it processed as expected.

A: If the application itself doesn’t change, a change is not recorded in the statistics. We don’t want to delete the application maps just because the ref changes. The ref is always updated in the database.
