How do I update a document when the brand code changes?

Since AceMapper supports several versions of ACES, there are a few ways that it handles Brand Codes.

If you are generating ACES 2.0 files, the only place it can be delivered is using the “MfrCode” in the Header of the xml file. This is taken from the MfrCode on the Manufacturer record (Maintain > Manufacturers). It can be easily edited there. When you Publish and Export, this value will be pre-filled, but you can always over-ride it with something else.

If you are generating ACES 3.0+ files, it will include the MfrCode as above, but also include a BrandAAIAID tag in the header. This tag is taken from the Brand record (Maintain > Brands). It can be easily edited there. When you Publish and Export, the BrandAAIAID value will always use the Brand Code from the published brand.

There should be no reason to delete a document and start over just to change a brand code.
