Is there a way to transfer Comment mapping to a new document?

If the document is in the same “database”, any existing maps for a comment should show as available for mapping, but the “Used” checkbox is not checked.

You can use the Edit > Mark Single Maps Used feature to mark any comment maps that only have one mapping. You can then use the View > Show Unchecked feature to see any remaining.

The “Mark maps used” options only apply if you have more than one “Document”. If you’ve made comment maps in one document and then want to apply them in another document, you would use one of these options.

Generally, you would use the “Mark single maps used” because you might have created conditional comment maps or other ORed maps that only apply to that Document. The “single” option will only automatically mark the maps with simple, single maps (no OR maps with multiple rows in the maps to grid).

You could then identify the ones that are unmapped and manually select the “Use” check boxes on the ones you want to use in that document.
