Compression Options

If you check “Keep Engine Base”, compression will not remove Engine Base from any application even if it doesn’t matter for the application. Note that you must have EngineBase as the first vehicle attribute in the list for this option to be available.

Compress to MfrLabel” is used when the MfrLabel provides what is essentially “Part Type” information. For example, in a document for Fuses, the part type might be just Fuse and the MfrLabel would have “Radio Fuse” to further define the use for that particular fuse. NOTE: Most of these “generic” part types have been made invalid for use in ACES files (they are PIES only), so this option should rarely, if ever, apply.

Order the list of vehicle attributes with the ones you want to keep on the application toward the top. If working with a Legacy file, move non-legacy attributes above of all legacy attributes.
