Measurements

All measurements may be entered in inches, millimeters or picas/points (except Font Sizes and Line Weights which are always entered in points).

A default “Unit of Measure” is selected for each document and used to display all measurements. This setting may be changed at any time without affecting the layout design.

You can also override this default by using special codes when entering values. These codes are “in”, “mm” and “p”.

Those familiar with Adobe InDesign™ will recognize the (picas)p(points) format (for example, 1p6 to represent 1 pica and 6 points). You can also use decimal fractions such as 1.25in, 0.5mm, 1.5p (which will be converted to 1p6) or 0p0.25 (which means .25 points).

See Rulers.
