How to interpret “Unknown” values in NAPA Vehicle Table
Anywhere an attribute is set to “unknown” any valid code can be used. We can also add new values if needed.
For example: We have a 1967 Porsche 911 with the 1991cc engine and an unknown submodel in the vehicle table already. Since the submodel is set to unknown, application data can be sent with any submodel code that is valid for the Porsche 911. So you could send “Base” (SubmodelID 1) or “S” (SubmodelID 2).
