ProMapper Diff Tool

PartsProDiff is a tool designed primarily for the initial migration from another PartsPRO system. It can be used to show how your newly mapped data compares to your last FULL production release to NAPA. (We understand that, in some cases, NAPA can provide this file to you).

Since the purpose of any migration should be to determine if the new process produces functionally equivalent results, we have added some “Options” to allow some fuzzy matching.

Ignore comment order will not identify a change if the only difference is the order of the comments.

Check for alternate comments uses a specially formatted text file to determine functionally equivalent comments. This is helpful because there is a lot of duplication in the NAPA comment database. The structure of this file is a list of comma separated comment ids (that you want to be interpreted as equivalent) are placed together on one row. If only one comment id is put on a row, it will be ignored for purposes of the comparison.

Attached is the “DuplicateComments.txt” file that is delivered with the software along with an example of a customized one.
