AceAssets Installation Instructions

The following instructions are for installing AceAssets Enterprise Edition. The client program can be installed on any PC matching the minimum hardware requirements. The AceAssets repository database files must be attached to a SQL Server on the network.

Install .Net 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 Frameworks (if necessary).

Install AceAsset Program

1. Download the install program from the link sent to you via email and save to disk.
2. Run the saved exe. You should see a security dialog with “Winsby Group LLC” as the publisher. Press Run:
3. The Installation Wizard will begin. Press Next on the welcome screen.
4. Accept the License Agreement and press Next.
5. Select the directory where you want to install the program. We recommend using the default. Press Next.
6. Enter a “Program Folder” or simply take the default. Press Next.
7. Press Next to begin the installation using the settings you selected.
8. Deselect the “Run AceAssets Now” checkbox and press Finish.

Do not run the program yet. We must install the database first.

Restore Empty AceAssets Database

1. Download the “empty” database backup (e.g. AceAssetsEmptyDB_1_0_x.zip) as instructed in the email and save to disk.
2. Deliver the database to your SQL Server database administrator with instructions to “restore”.

Note that the supplied database is in SQL2008R2 format and so can be attached to a SQL2008R2 or later Server.
