Why does Import Wizard lose previous settings?

Here are the steps that occur when you import a file:

  1. First the previously used column definitions are loaded.

  2. If the import file contains the same column names as before (order doesn’t need to be the same) the import can continue.

  3. If there is a previously defined column that is no longer in the import file, the wizard clears all previously defined columns and goes to the page to set up columns. The columns just need to be setup again.

  4. The import checks for required columns before starting. If that check fails, there is an error message. For legacy, the LegacyID, PartNumber and Part Description are required.
