How can I map a related Part Number found in the Comments?

There are times when you might have an application that references a “related part number” in the notes. This could be a required installation tool or something else recommended for installation along with the main part number on the application.

If you don’t have a separate application for this part, you must find another way to include it in the ACES file. The Comment Mapping screen has two fields for this purpose in the lower left of the screen:

If you enter the part number found in the comment in the “Replace Part Number with” field and select the new part type in the “Override Part Type” field, AceMapper will generate a SECOND application using these values. Everything else on the application (Make/Model/Attributes, etc.) remains the same as the primary application.
