Mapping a SubModel column

Q: I have a separate column in my source date for submodels that pretty much matches the VCdb submodels. How can I map these easily?

A: In the Import Wizard, identify the column as a “Comment” column, but include a Prefix string in the parameters of “{SM}:” (without the quotes).

This will allow you to filter just the submodel comments on the Comment Mapping screen. Then you can select all of the rows in the grid and press Ctrl-S (or Map to Submodel in the menu). AceMapper will strip off the special prefix from the submodel before trying to match the data.
