PIES Assistant Getting Started

Installation, updates and registration require administrative privileges.

Unzip PIESAssistant.zip. Then run setup.exe to install PIES Assistant. To check for program updates, run Update PIES Assistant from the Start menu.

If your company has more than one PIES Assistant user, you may want to share validation configurations between all users. If you want to share configurations:

  1. Run PIES Assistant

  2. Select Maintain | Change Configuration Folder from the menu.

  3. Select a folder that can be read by all users. The folder can be on a network share. Users who need to maintain configurations will also need write access

  4. Assuming the directory is empty, you will have the option of copying your existing configurations into the new folder.

  5. Each user will need to run Maintain | Change Configuration Folder and select the common folder.

Note that you can always maintain configurations of your own and can even have multiple sets of configurations located in different folders. Just use Maintain | Change Configuration Folder to change between sets of configurations.

PIES Assistant Prerequisites:

  • Microsoft .Net Framework 4.8
  • Microsoft Windows Forms ReportViewer

The installation will install the prerequisites if necessary.
