Publish a PIES file using customer part numbers

I need to publish a PIES file with our customer’s part numbers instead of ours. I have the interchange list to our part numbers.

You will need to create a trading partner brand script for import.

1. Create a trading partner brand for your customer.

2. Create a new import script and select the trading partner brand you just created.

3. If the only change for the customer is the part number, you only need to set up the item segment. You will need a table of your part numbers and the corresponding customer part number. If the script will include more than one Primary Brand (AAIA Brand ID), the table should also include the primary brand for each of your parts.

4. For the Item Segment, PIES Mapping tab, Primary Brand Part Number is your number, Part Number is the customer’s number. For Primary Brand if you have only one, you can enter a default. You can use your AAIA Brand ID.

5. Run the script. That will load the part interchange for this customer.

6. For export create a new document. Select the AAIA Brand IDs to include and also select the Trading Partner brand.

7. Check “Use Primary Brand” on each tab where is exists. (It is not on Attributes, Interchanges, HazMat and Kit).

When you do the export, you will get a file with the customer’s part numbers and everything else the same as your primary brand.

If you need to change other things such as price, packaging, attributes, etc. You can include those segments in the trading partner import script. Then don’t check “Use Primary Brand” on Add/Edit Document for the segments you include in the script.
