Auto Care now requires a subscription to use the PCdb. See https://www.autocare.org/data-standards/subscriptions

Does PIESCentral use the PAdb?

PIESCentral and PIES Assistant both support the PAdb provided you have a subscription to the tables.

In PIESCentral, there is an option to import the PAdb Attributes under the Maintain menu. If your source data includes PAdb attributes, the import process will validate the attributes against the PAdb you have loaded.

If you don’t have PAdb attributes in your source data, it’s possible to map your existing attributes to the PAdb in user defined columns. The columns you need for this process depends somewhat on the current state of your attribute data, especially whether you currently have the attribute value and attribute UOM in separate columns.

When publishing there is an option to convert a PAdb attribute back to just text for receivers who are not able to accept PAdb attributes.

In PIES Assistant, you can select a PCdb and PAdb from the file menu. PIES Assistant will display the text of the attribute and can use these tables for validation and coverage (checking that you have all the attributes for the part type).
